Please see attached a letter from Kevin Foster MP regarding an Art competiton being held locally for Play Torbay.
'Play Torbay would like purpose built gates constructed to their Wild Fox Playground to allow easy access for the disabled and it was suggested that a good way to raise funds for this project would be an art competition including a voluntary donation for entries. The art competition has a theme of doors and gateways. Any additional money raised would go to help Play Torbay support children's play across the Bay.'
We are pleased to announce that Torre C of E Academy are taking steps to implement a Sun Safe policy and teaching. The content of which forms part of our duty of care to ensure the health and wellbeing of your child/children during school hours.
This is a voluntary undertaking by the school following an invitation from Sun Safe Schools (an Award Scheme), which has been developed by national skin cancer charity 'Skcin', to encourage the necessary culture change regarding attitudes towards sun safety required to combat the soaring rates of skin cancer in the UK.
