An invitation from Torre Abbey Museum!
From 8th July to 3rd September, Torre Abbey is delighted to be exhibiting the work of 21 local Primary and Secondary schools as part of its hugely exciting summer exhibition: Face 2 Face.
The exhibition explores the art of the portrait, from traditional paintings and drawings, to digital media and the rise of the selfie in modern culture.
Schools have been working on collective artworks inspired by the exhibition and the students’ work will be exhibited alongside a selection of highly influential historical and contemporary artists, including William Blake, William Holman Hunt, Jake and Dinos Chapman and Sarah Lucas.
We would like to thank all the participating students and teachers and extend an invitation to all the students of each school to bring their adults along to the exhibition to see the work hanging alongside some of the most famous portrait artists in the world!
We are providing each family with a Golden ticket which will allow an accompanying adult in to the museum for free.
Torre Abbey Museum is open daily throughout the summer from 10am until 4pm and entry for children and teens under 18 is free!
